TUSCALOOSA-- A favorite Tuscaloosa event, the Druid City Arts Festival, will be returning to town on April 5 and 6.

The event takes place in the Governor's Plaza in Downtown Tuscaloosa. This year's 10th annual DCAF will feature new activities and even more vendors and entertainment.

Bill Buchanan, the Director of Community Development said that they have made some unique additions to the festival this year to appeal to both adults and children.

"West Alabama Quilters will be doing a quilting exhibition; Soapy Jones...the soap making is new this year. The tie dye station for the kids, the Humane Society and The Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter having animals out and educating people about dogs that need to find homes," he said.

The event has been expanded to two days because it is the 10 year anniversary. It will be open on Friday night from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. and on Saturday from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.

The festival will include 84 artists, 11 food vendors and 8 musical acts.

The Druid City Arts Festival is free to attend.
